Eklavya Gurukul: Young Leaders for Mega Projects – Management Development Programme for L&T Construction Ltd launched on 16th April 2021

IIMB’s Executive Education has designed this programme for Young Project Leaders of L&T Construction Ltd – Heavy Civil Infrastructure, to expose them to managerial skills early on in their career and groom them to be successful project managers and project directors. This programme is a first of its kind for the organization.

The programme is designed with the following objectives to help participants:

• Understand the overarching competencies required to become a successful project manager
• Transition their skillset from a functional role into a mid-level managerial role
• Identify key drivers that they would need to develop to make a leap to the next level
• Develop an outlook that balances competing objectives and takes optimal decisions

The programme is planned for seven programme days delivered in combination of Live, Online and On-campus classroom sessions over about four months. Participants will also undertake a Live Project, to implement a workplace problem or a challenge, in a chosen area which is critical to their organizational success.

The inaugural address was delivered by S. V. Desai – Whole-time Director and Sr. Executive Vice President (Civil Infrastructure), L&T Group. On this occasion, Barttanu Kumar Das – Head HR, L&T, also addressed the participants.

Programme Directors: Prof. Jitamitra Desai, faculty in the Decision Sciences area, and Prof. Debolina Dutta, faculty in the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area.
