Professor Shabana Mitra

Professor Shabana Mitra joined the Institute as Assistant Professor, Public Policy Area on 25th September 2014. She obtained her PhD from Vanderbilt University USA and holds Master’s degrees from Vanderbilt University and Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi.  Her research areas include Development Economics, Political Economy and Applied Econometrics.

The Institute is appreciative of Prof. Mitra’s teaching, research and service contributions during her tenure. The IMR Doctoral Conference benefited significantly from her able leadership as its Co-Chair for two years.
