Centre for Teaching & Learning to host webinar titled ‘National Education Policy and its Impact on the Education Landscape in India’ on November 8th
It is the first of a series of two webinars to be held on the National Education Policy, the second of which will be held on November 15th
02 November, 2021, Bengaluru: The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore will host a webinar titled, ‘National Education Policy (NEP) and its Impact on the Education Landscape in India’, on November 8th (Monday), 2021, at 06.00 pm, as part of the Samiksha series of webinars. It is the first of a series of two webinars to be held on the National Education Policy (NEP). The twin webinars on NEP, the second of which will be held on November 15th, 2021, would be the 6th and 7th of CTL’s Samiksha series of webinars, a series that invites learners and educations alike.
To register for both the events, those interested need to click here and fill up the Google form. After successful registration, candidates will receive the Zoom meeting link to attend the webinar one or two days before the session.
The webinar, on November 8th, will be led by Prof. M.K. Sridhar, President, Centre for Educational and Social Studies (CESS), Member, the University Grants Commission (UGC), National Steering Committee-NEP, NCF. He is also President of the Yuvaka Sangha, EC Member of the Central University of Kerala and NAAC.
He was a member of the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE), MHRD, All India Board of Management Studies, AICTE, Executive Council of the Central University of Gujarat and Vice President of the Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka. He was nominated by MHRD as a member of a committee to draft the National Education Policy under the Chairmanship of Dr. K. Kasturirangan, between 2017 and 2019.
The moderator for the webinar would be Prof. Abhoy K. Ojha, Founder-Dean of Shiv Nadar University in Chennai. He is the Dean of the School of Commerce and Management, Shiv Nadar University, helping with the design and launch of programmes to meet the emerging higher education demands in the region and country.

The second webinar in the series, titled ‘Is National Education Policy (NEP) a Game-Changer for Higher Education?’, will be held on November 15th, 2021, at 06.00 pm.
The webinar will be led by Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha. He is the bestselling author of 23 books, both fiction and non-fiction, besides being a former Under Secretary-General of the United Nations, and a former Minister of State for Human Resource Development and for External Affairs in the Government of India.
The moderator for this webinar would be Shekhar Gupta, Indian journalist and author. He is the Founder and the current Editor-in-Chief of ThePrint, a digital news platform.
