IIMB employees win singing competitions organized by Karnataka Customs and GST Cultural Society

Supported by the Staff Recreation Club of IIMB, the employees Sunitha G, Poornima N and Pooja M S achieve this feat in competitions held as part of the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations

Three employees of IIM Bangalore have won acclaim in Kannada singing competitions as part of the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations, in events organized by the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics (Karnataka Customs and GST Cultural Society).

Sunitha G from the Library department won the first prize in the ‘Anthyakshari’ competition held in November.

Poornima N from the Accounts department won the first prize in the ‘Anthyakshari’ competition and Consolation prize in the Solo Kannada Bhaava Geethe competition held in November.

There were more than 26 participants from different Central Government offices such as Doordarshan Kendra, Silk Board, etc. in the contest. Both Sunitha and Poornima thank other members of their departments, the institute and the Staff Recreation Club (SRC) for all the support and motivation extended to enable them to showcase their talent even outside the four walls of the institute.

Pooja M S from the Faculty Block won the third prize in the singing competition (patriotic songs category). The competition was held on the virtual mode on November 13, 2021. There were 24 participants from different Central Government offices such as Doordarshan Kendra, Silk Board, ISRO, etc.

Pooja thanks her colleagues, the institute and the Staff Recreation Club (SRC) for the continuous support and motivation extended to enable her to achieve this feat.

The institute congratulates Sunitha, Poornima and Pooja for their achievement and encourages them to take up such endeavors in the future.
