PGP alum P. Udayakumar takes over as Chairman & Managing Director of National Small Industries Corporation and as Chairman of NSIC Venture Capital Fund Limited

Alum of the 1988 batch Udayakumar, who was Director (Planning & Marketing), was given the additional charge of CMD by NSIC with effect from June 2022

IIM Bangalore alumni continue to make the institute proud of their accomplishments. Alumnus P. Udayakumar from the 1988 batch of the two-year full-time MBA: Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), has taken over as Chairman and Managing Director of National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Delhi and as Chairman of NSIC Venture Capital Fund Limited (NVCFL).

P. Udayakumar, who was Director (Planning & Marketing), was given the additional charge of CMD by NSIC with effect from June 2022.

An expert in the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) domain, Udayakumar has been a part of many initiatives of the Ministry of MSME as well as NSIC’s growth story over a period of 12 years. He is also a member at the Investment Committee of the PE growth fund, namely SRI Fund, under the Ministry of MSME.

Udayakumar is a Mechanical Engineer from the College of Engineering, Guindy with post-graduation from IIM Bangalore. Moreover, he has around 12 years of Board experience.
