Valedictory of the Leadership Development Programme for Senior Management of Public Sector Banks

The third edition of the Leadership Development Programme for the senior management of the country’s nationalized banks concluded on 23rd July 2022 on campus. A total of 77 senior managers (DGMs and GMs) of 11 nationalized banks completed a year-long learning intervention that equipped them with competencies and knowledge to take on current and emerging challenges in a competitive marketplace.

Dr. Rishikesh Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore, delivered the valedictory address. He encouraged the participants to use their learning to make long term business growth plans, develop deeper engagement with change management processes and adapt to digital technology. Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary – DFS, and Shri Sunil Mehta, Chief Executive, Indian Banks Association, addressed the participants and congratulated them on the successful completion of the programme. In his address, Sanjay Malhotra emphasized the need for change management and inclusive growth while Sunil Mehta said banks can remain relevant only if they are profitable and adaptable to changing business environments. Programme Directors Dr. R Srinivasan and Prof. G Ramesh were present at the valedictory.
