NSRCEL hosts the ‘Swavalambane Challenge Fund’ in Bangalore and Mysore aiming to empower rural women entrepreneurs
IIM Bangalore’s Centre of Excellence NSRCEL welcomed entrepreneurs from across Karnataka at the ‘Swavalambane Challenge Fund’ held in July, in Bangalore and Mysore. More than 120 entrepreneurs pitched their enterprises to a panel of industry experts, government enablers, start-ups of NSRCEL and the team at NSRCEL, across the two locations.
Providing training, guidance and the opportunity to interact with enablers in the space, the Challenge Fund brought together entrepreneurs offering products ranging from toys, handicrafts, food and beverages, sustainable bags, utensils, beauty and tailoring services, and much more.
Aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial capability of rural women entrepreneurs engaged in non-farm/non-agricultural ventures in Karnataka, thereby empowering them, Swavalambane looks to help rural enterprises tap into their true potential and build sustainable businesses that reflect the entrepreneurial spirit of India.
