The 10th webinar of the Masterclass Series ‘Being Future Ready’ was led by Saurabh Kumar Karn, Lead Scientist at OpenNyAI
The Centre for Software & Information Technology Management (CSITM) at IIM Bangalore, in association with the Wadhwani Institute of Technology & Policy (WITP) and Digital India, conducted a webinar titled, ‘Application of Generative AI for Making Government Future Ready’, on 31st August 2023. The webinar was led by Saurabh Kumar Karn, Lead Scientist at OpenNyAI, who is working on advancing the field of AI for Law and Justice.
Saurabh Kumar Karn is an engineer and alumnus of Teach for India. He has worked across the sectors of education, policy, financial technology and AI/ML applications in Law and Justice. He is the Co-creator of Jugalbandi.ai, a digital public infrastructure for all Indians to get conversational AI support.
During the webinar, Saurabh Kumar Karn explained the wide scope for application of Language Models and AI in Government detailing how Chatbot Interface and Large Language Models are just the beginning. “Neural Networks are inspired by brain but do not work like brain, similar to how an airplane is inspired by birds but does not fly like birds”, he added.
This was the tenth webinar of the Masterclass Series titled: ‘Being Future Ready’, which is a series featuring industry experts who have implemented digital transformation projects in government or other large enterprises. The event has featured esteemed speakers like Dr. Gulshan Rai, Prof. S. Sadagopan, Eshwar Belani, Rajeev Chawla, Nandan Nilekani, R Chandrasekhar, Sharad Sharma, Dr. Pramod Varma and Dr. Sumit D. Chowdhury since October 2022.
