Kuldeep Singh joined IIMB on 2nd September as Assistant Professor in the Economics area. He holds the Young Faculty Research Chair. He is a macroeconomist focusing on issues related to developing economies. In his research, he built quantitative macroeconomic models featuring rich heterogeneity and market frictions, disciplined by micro data, to answer various macroeconomic questions. His work includes studying the aggregate and distributional implications of large-scale policies and examining the impact of financial frictions on development.
Prior to joining IIM Bangalore, he graduated with a PhD in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis in 2024.
