PhD scholar Mir Autif project lead in IIMB and King’s College London collaborative research project

Mir Autif, a doctoral scholar in the Strategy area at IIM Bangalore, contributed as a project lead for the Kashmir chapter of ‘UK-India Trade: Small Firms and Global Ambitions’ survey. The survey explored the value chain, credit practices, export-import activities, networks, and innovation practices of firms in the carpet-weaving industry.

The survey was conducted by IIM Bangalore and King’s College London (KCL), in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) as part of a three-year collaborative research project funded by the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The study investigates the challenges and opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in bilateral trade between the UK and India. The project was led by principal investigators Prof. Kamini Gupta and Prof. Sunil Mitra Kumar of King’s College London, and Dr. Prateek Raj, Strategy area, at IIM Bangalore.
