PGPEM students shine at Vista 2024 with social impact solutions
Four students from IIM Bangalore’s MBA for Working Executives program (PGPEM)—Gethaara Gowri Gowthami, Raghavendra Shirodkar, Raghuram Sridharan, and Rakesh G R—secured the First Runner-Up position at Sparsh, a Social Impact Case Competition held during Vista 2024, IIMB’s annual International Business Summit.
Organized by Vikasana, IIMB’s Social Impact Club, Sparsh brought together participants to tackle real-world challenges. Driven by a shared commitment to social impact, the team built a strategy and expansion model for—Diya Ghar, a nonprofit focused on early childhood education, nutrition, and healthcare for the children of migrant workers. The case study required participants to conduct a feasibility study, recommending the top three cities for Diya Ghar’s expansion and providing strategic insights on improving access to early childhood care and education.
The IIMB team stood out for their practical, research-based approach to addressing expansion challenges faced by Diya Ghar and offering actionable solutions though tailored recommendations.
