Dr. Mayank Kumar
Dr. Mayank Kumar joined IIMB on 20th November as Assistant Professor in the Information Systems area. He received his Ph.D. graduate from IIM Tiruchirappalli in Information Systems & Analytics, is an interdisciplinary scholar whose research explores the intersection of sociology, management, and technology. His work investigates the impact of digitization and technology adoption on human, social, and organizational relationships, and the strategic implications of these changes for organizations and society.
Mayank’s research has been published in top-tier journals, including Information Systems Journal, Journal of Knowledge Management, and International Journal of Information Management. He has also presented his research at prominent conferences such as ICIS and AMCIS and was selected for the prestigious ICIS Doctoral Consortium in 2018.
Mayank’s teaching expertise spans two key areas: newer digital technologies (Blockchain, IoT, Digital Platforms) and the intersection of technology and Marketing (Social Media Analytics, Digital Marketing, Data Visualization).
