Centre for Teaching & Learning conducts Faculty Development Programme on 16th and 17th April for Sri Lanka’s Postgraduate Institute of Management faculty

The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) conducted an international Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 16th and 17th April 2025 for 19 faculty members from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), Sri Lanka.

Aimed at knowledge sharing of best practices, the sessions were curated to the needs of PIM and highlighted various pedagogies, such as, case teaching methodology and lecture-based approach as well as management of important aspects like assessment & evaluation, executive education, and accreditation.

The sessions of the two-day immersive programme were led by senior faculty of IIMB, including Dr. R Srinivasan (Chairperson, Center for Digital Public Goods and faculty of Strategy), Dr. Sushanta K Mishra (Chairperson, Centre for Teaching & Learning, Research & Publications and C-DOCTA, Editor-in-Chief, IIMB Management Review, and faculty of Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management), Dr. Varun Jindal (Finance & Accounting area) and Dr. Sourav Mukherji (Dean, Alumni Relations & Development and faculty of OBHRM).

Dr. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore, concluded the programme with an interaction with the Sri Lankan delegates, sharing insights on the scope for future collaborations aiming for faculty enrichment.
