Prof. Trilochan Sastry, Decision Sciences area, IIM Bangalore, retired from the services of the Institute. With over two decades of dedicated service, his farewell lecture served as an important and heartfelt reminder of his deep impact as an educator at IIM Bangalore. Dr. Villur S Seshadri, I.F.S. (Retd.), Senior Fellow at the Delhi Policy Group, delivered a talk on ‘Geopolitics and International Trade’, at a seminar organized by the Centre for Public Policy at IIMB, on 22nd April 2025. He discussed the growing complexities surrounding WTO compliance and addressed India’s trade imbalance with China. He also shed light on emerging trends such as reciprocal tariffs, national security-led trade policies, and highlighted how India is navigating this evolving landscape through bilateral agreements and policy innovation.
The Entrepreneurship area at IIMB organized a Paper Development Workshop in collaboration with the Academy of Management Learning & Education (AMLE) on 24th April 2025. The Supply Chain Management Centre at IIM Bangalore, in collaboration with Wipro Ltd., hosted an International Conference on "Advancing the Global Sustainability Narrative: Business, Policy, and Societal Imperatives” from 24th - 26th April 2025. The conference brought together business leaders, policymakers, academics, and practitioners to deliberate on the critical role of sustainability across sectors. Discussions focused on the intersection of business practices, policy frameworks, and societal needs, emphasizing collaborative approaches to address global sustainability challenges.
