In her session, ‘Reimagining Language Teaching in the Age of Distraction,’ Prof. Bandi explored the evolving intersections of empathy, resilience, and relevance in today’s classrooms. She posed an intriguing question to the audience of teachers and students, ‘Should we be reimagining teaching or distraction?’ Drawing on her classroom experiences and neuroscience insights, she argued that distraction is an important aspect of modern learning. The talk emphasized the importance of empowering language educators and encouraging more effective student engagement in an age of constant connectivity and shifting attention.
