Inauguration of Airlines Management Programme

IIMBx welcomed the first batch of 153 airline professionals, from major airline companies across the country, to the Professional Certificate Programme in Airlines Management (PCAM) on 19 September 2025. Capt. G R Gopinath, Founder, Air Deccan, was the keynote speaker at the inauguration. Underlining the importance of management education for professionals in the rapidly evolving Indian aviation sector, he emphasized the need for ‘preparedness for the future’ by recalling Andy Grove’s famous words, “Only the paranoid survive”. A fireside conversation between Dr. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIMBx DLF, and Girish Nair, Partner-Mobility & Logistics, Global Lead-Airports, National Lead-Aviation at KPMG India, was another highlight of the inaugural ceremony. Sukhjit S Pasricha, Group CHRO at IndiGo, and Capt. Ashim Mittra, SVP of Flight Ops at Indigo, expressed their appreciation for the programme.

Sitaraman Shankar, CEO, IIMBx, welcomed the guests and participants. Dr. U Dinesh Kumar, Director In-charge, IIMB, Dr. Vasanthi Srinivasan, Chairperson, IIMBx, Dr. Rejie George Pallathitta and Dr. Sushanta Mishra, Programme Directors, addressed the participants.
