A research paper co-authored by Aswathi Narikundil Jayan, a second-year PhD scholar in the Entrepreneurship Area at IIMB, with Dr. Srivardhini K Jha, former Chairperson of NSRCEL and faculty in the Entrepreneurship Area, has been recognized as a Best Paper at the 86th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management. The forum is widely considered one of the world’s foremost gatherings of management and organization scholars.

Titled ‘Staying True by Changing Course: Mission Evolution in Social Enterprises’, the paper examines mechanisms by which social enterprises navigate shifts in strategy while remaining true to their core purpose. The study contributes to a growing body of work that interrogates the interplay between mission alignment and adaptive change in mission-driven organizations.
