The Independent Directors Certificate Programme (IDCP) is a certificate programme designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and perspective required to effectively perform the role of an Independent Director in today’s evolving corporate landscape. The programme provides a comprehensive understanding of corporate governance, combining academic rigor with practical insights drawn from real-world boardroom experiences. This programme is structured to help participants develop a strong foundation in corporate governance, company law, regulatory frameworks and boardroom practices. It enables participants to understand the roles, responsibilities and accountability of Independent Directors, while also helping them gain a critical perspective on governance structures and decision-making processes.
Through a blend of conceptual learning and case-based discussions, the programme prepares participants to contribute effectively to board deliberations, oversee strategic decisions and uphold governance standards. It is particularly suited for senior leaders, aspiring independent directors, non-executive directors and researchers seeking to deepen their expertise in corporate governance.
