Airports Authority of India partners with IIM Bangalore for three-year leadership development initiative
As India’s aviation sector enters a new phase of expansion and transformation, leadership capability has become a critical enabler of operational excellence, infrastructure growth and global competitiveness. Reflecting this imperative, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIM Bangalore’s Executive Education Programmes (EEP) to co-create a suite of custom leadership development programmes for its mid- and senior-level leaders.
The MoU was signed on 10th July 2026 by AAI, with Dr. Sushanta Kumar Mishra, Chairperson, Executive Education Programmes, representing IIM Bangalore. The partnership marks the revival of AAI’s customized leadership development journey, aligned with the organization’s renewed strategic priorities and the evolving demands of the post-COVID aviation ecosystem.
Starting 2026-27, the initiative will comprise three distinct programmes, each delivered annually over the next three years. Designed for Functional Heads, Senior Management and Middle Management, the five-day programmes will address strategic leadership, organizational transformation, operational excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and global best practices in airport management.
By combining IIM Bangalore’s research-led pedagogy, accomplished faculty and contextual programme design with AAI’s strategic vision, this long-term partnership aims to build future-ready leaders capable of driving sustainable growth and transformation across India’s aviation infrastructure.
