NSRCEL hosts sessions on empowering and strengthening India’s start-up ecosystem

From meaningful conversations to inspiring founder stories, NSRCEL held two meet-ups in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, with partners including AIC Nalanda, Startup Odisha, and WEneurs Forum and KIIT-Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI).

These meet-ups, held as part of the Women Startup Program by NSRCEL, powered by Kotak BizLabs, brought together more than 100 aspiring entrepreneurs.

The interaction with AIC Nalanda, Startup Odisha and WEneurs Forum was kicked off with an address by Smruti Ranjan Pradhan (IAS), CEO – Startup Odisha, who shed light on Odisha’s vision for strengthening the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The evening also featured a panel discussion on, ‘Building Businesses Rooted in Community’, featuring Pranay Manjari Samal – Founder, Safe Odisha For Her; Jayanti Mahapatra – Founder, WEneurs™ Forum and Co-founder, Manikstu Agro Pvt. Ltd.; and Durga Prasad Gouda – CEO, AIC-Nalanda Institute of Technology Foundation. The discussion was moderated by Kartik Kumar Choudhary, Program Manager, Women Startup Program, NSRCEL.

The second interaction with the partner institution – KIIT-Technology Business Incubator – also included a panel discussion featuring Nishita Baliarsingh and Nikita Baliarsingh, Co-founders, Nexus Power; A K Mohanty, President, TiE Bhubaneswar; Dr. Namrata Misra, Adviser, KIIT-TBI; Dr. Aanchal Katoch, Scientific Communication Manager, KIIT-TBI; and Kartik Kumar Choudhary, Program Manager, Women Startup Program, NSRCEL. The panel explored what it takes to build start-ups that last – starting with solving real problems, staying resilient through the journey, and leveraging mentors, markets and founder communities to scale with purpose.

Such meet-ups strive to empower more women founders and strengthen India’s start-up ecosystem, together.
