17 years of IIMBAA: A community that keeps finding new reasons to come home

Seventeen years on, the IIM Bangalore Alumni Association (IIMBAA) has grown into a community of more than 25,000 alumni across 14 chapters. The association’s Foundation Day served as a focal point for this sprawling network, with alumni joining the virtual celebrations from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Dubai, Ireland, the Netherlands, Washington, London, Toronto, Atlanta, Antwerp, Nairobi and beyond.

Welcoming the alumni, Utkalika Mohanty, PGP 2014, set the tone for an evening of reflection and anticipation for what lies ahead. Harish Mittal, President, IIMBAA, looked back on the association’s journey from the early years when it was supported by IIMB’s Alumni Office, to a community that has doubled its chapters from seven to fourteen in just three years.
