Artificial Intelligence for Managers program by IIMBx successfully completes first run
Indian Institute of Management Bangalore launched an online open certificate program called ‘Artificial Intelligence for Managers’, in 2022-23, on the IIMBx platform. This was a blended long-duration program of 16 months, which comprised both campus sessions and online sessions.
It included 11 online modular courses. The courses resulted from the expertise of IIM Bangalore’s faculty in combination with industry-oriented learning pedagogy to provide hands-on experience. The participant profile included Executives, Senior Executives, Managers, Senior Managers, Engineers, Senior Engineers, Team Leaders, Doctors, Navy Generals, Assistant Professors, AVP & Business Heads, Data Analytics and AI Leads, IT Leads, CFOs/ Finance Controllers, VPs, Engineering Leads, Directors, and Entrepreneurs. The valedictory of this program will be held on 8th September 2023, at the IIMB Auditorium. A total of 78 learners across different industries, including IT products/services, Manufacturing, Finance, Education, E-Commerce, Legal and others, will receive their certificates.

The course is very well structured – the first module, Foundations of Data Science, is really the backbone of the whole course. The modules are sequenced quite logically, given the vast nature of this field. All concepts are covered to a meaningful extent and through case studies and graded assignments, we were encouraged to learn further and internalise the topics. The course strikes a great balance between recorded lectures, live online and in-person sessions. This program has equipped me to apply the learnings to my day to day job in the area of supply chain planning.
