MIJSC hosted Seminar on ‘The Lean Transplant: Challenges of Japanese Management Practices in India’

The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC) at IIM Bangalore hosted a discussion on ‘The Lean Transplant: Challenges of Japanese Management Practices in India’ on August 19, 2025.

The session was led by Prof. Takahiro Sato, Professor and Deputy Director at the Research Institute for Economics & Business Administration (RIEB), Kobe University. Prof. Sato, a specialist in emerging markets, has conducted extensive research on India’s economy post-liberalization. The discussion was moderated by Mr. Saideep Rathnam, COO of MIJSC.
