NSRCEL joins hands with GoI’s FinTech Centre of Excellence to host Fintech Friday

The event ‘Fintech Friday’ was hosted by the FinTech Centre of Excellence (CoE), an initiative by the Government of Karnataka, in partnership with NSRCEL. This interaction featured a fireside chat with Akash S., CEO and Co-founder, Cashfree Payments, moderated by Prof. G Sabarinathan, former faculty of the Finance & Accounting area of IIM Bangalore.

From the Cashfree story came lessons that every fintech founder can take away, including, investing in strong governance early and always staying compliant with regulations; since momentum matters in the early years – founders need to be hands-on at first, and then delegate as they scale; founders have to keep a diversified revenue base and maintain enough cash runway to weather funding winters, and they need to hire senior leaders when truly needed, acquire only when ready, and choose their co-founder wisely.
