NSRCEL hosts roundtable on enabling innovation-led impact through CSR

NSRCEL recently hosted a roundtable on enabling innovation-led impact through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The conversation brought together founders, CSR leaders, incubators, researchers and ecosystem enablers to discuss some of the structural gaps between innovation and impact delivery, prevailing in the present day.

The speakers highlighted that early-stage innovation – especially in deep tech, healthcare, climate and public systems – operates on much longer timelines than traditional CSR cycles. It was also pointed out that incubators are increasingly playing the role of ecosystem connectors: helping start-ups navigate partnerships, compliance, deployment, market access and institutional credibility – not just capital. The speakers were also in agreement with the fact that impact measurement is evolving beyond activity metrics toward adoption, systems change and long-term outcomes.

The roundtable discussion reinforced an important belief: enabling innovation-led impact is not just about funding start-ups. It is about building institutional infrastructure around them – so that early-stage founders are not left navigating capital, regulation, validation and deployment entirely on their own.
