Selvam Chinnappan joins IIMB as new Chief Operating Officer of Mizuho India Japan Study Centre
Selvam Chinnappan has joined IIM Bangalore as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC), taking over from Dr. Saideep Rathnam.
Selvam Chinnappan holds a Master’s degree in Electronics and Psychology, a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and an LL.B. He brings with him extensive industry and academic experience as a JLPT N1-certified bilingual senior leadership professional, corporate trainer and business leader. He possesses expertise in Japanese language proficiency and cross-cultural business engagement, with an advanced command of Japanese at the highest JLPT certification level (N1).
Over the course of his career, he has held several senior leadership positions across reputed organizations, including as Vice President & Head at Tech Mahindra; Associate Vice President & Business Leader/Sales Director at KPIT; Regional Sales & Business Development Manager at HCL Technologies; Senior Analyst, Investment Research at Goldman Sachs, and as Lecturer at St. Joseph’s College and Member in Board of Studies at PSG Institutions. Prior to joining IIMB, he served as the Managing Director of NETSUI Consultancy.
With his unique blend of expertise spanning technology, business leadership, investment research, training, education, psychology, law and Japanese language proficiency, Selvam Chinnappan is sure to contribute significantly to the growth and development of MIJSC.
