Dr. Aekta Aggarwal
Dr. Aekta Aggarwal joined IIMB on 22nd October as a Visiting Faculty for the Data Sciences Programme at the IIMB Dorabji Tata School of Undergraduate Studies. She holds an Integrated M.Sc.–Ph.D. in Mathematics from the TIFR Centre for Applicable Mathematics, Bangalore and a B.A. (Hons.) in Mathematics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi.
Dr. Aekta’s research interests are in partial differential equations, hyperbolic and nonlocal conservation laws, numerical analysis, mathematical modelling of traffic, crowd and opinion dynamics, and classical, machine learning, and quantum-inspired algorithms for PDEs.
Dr. Aekta is currently on an EOL from IIM Indore where she is an Associate Professor in the Operations Management and Quantitative Techniques Area. Before joining IIM Indore as an Assistant Professor in 2015 , she worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Acumes, INRIA, Sophia Antipolis, France. She is also a member of the NCERT team developing the new Class XI–XII mathematics textbooks.
