In his review of the book ‘Cashless Nation: How UPI Changed Everything’ by technologist Santanu Paul and veteran banker B. Sambamurthy, Dr. M S Sriram, Public Policy area, offers a compelling take on India’s digital payments revolution.

In his Deccan Herald piece, ‘Living by the (QR) code: How Cashless Nation traces the making of India’s UPI revolution’, Prof. Sriram writes that UPI’s seemingly overnight success is the result of decades of incremental change, unexpected turning points and collective effort.
