On 6th January , Dr Sreevas Sahasranamam, from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, spoke on ‘Innovation Ecosystems for Emergencies’. The paper examines what makes an innovation ecosystem responsive during emergencies after studying the innovation ecosystem within Kerala (India) that led to two emergency-oriented innovations, namely KeralaRescue (developed for Kerala Floods 2018) and CoronaSafe (developed for COVID-19), drawing on insights from strategic agility and institutional theory literature, etc.

On 13th January, Jaideep Roy, from University of Bath, spoke on ‘Political Economy of Industrial Automation’. 

On 16th January, Rish Singhania, from the University of Exeter Business School, spoke on ‘Spatial Misallocation of Native Labour and Immigration’. 

On 18th January, Prof. Rahul Deb, from the University of Toronto, spoke on ‘Which Wage Distributions are Consistent with Statistical Discrimination?’

On 23rd January, Prof. Kulwant S Pawar, from the University of Nottingham in the UK, spoke on ‘The role of responsible innovation in circular economy’.

On 23rd January, Soumya Balasubramanya, World Bank, spoke on ‘Water-energy-climate ‘nexus’: truthiness and knowledge gaps’.

On 24th January, Prof. T.E.S. Raghavan, from the University of Illinois in Chicago, spoke on ‘Shapley value and the nucleolus’
