The 7th cohort of the N. S. Ramaswamy Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Programme concluded on 1st May 2025. The 2024–25 batch included 13 scholars (7 women, 6 men) from diverse academic backgrounds.
IIMB hosted ‘Samyoga: A Carnatic-Hindustani Jugalbandi’ on 04th May 2025. The classical music concert featured an evocative performance by acclaimed Hindustani classical artiste Dr. Radhika Joshi and well-known Carnatic vocalist Ms Manasi Prasad.

Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore, inaugurated Nova Unplugged, the Campus Immersion Program for students of the BBA in Digital Business & Entrepreneurship, on 10th May 2025. TRIBUTE: The IIMB community celebrated the life and achievements of Professor M.R. Rao, in a touching programme, on May 27th. Led by Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, and Professor Sourav Mukherji, Dean Alumni Relations & Development at IIMB, senior faculty members and retired faculty, in person and online from different parts of the world, alumni, students and staff members recalled Professor MR’s sterling qualities, academic brilliance and administrative prowess. They took an emotional walk back in time to remind us of Professor MR’s contributions to the IIMB community, and to the world of management education. Prof. MR was remembered with gratitude for his role as a mentor, with fondness for his readiness to be a trusted friend in times of need, with admiration for his handling of tough situations as head of an institution, and with warm smiles for his childlike joy when sampling the simple pleasures of life. IIM Bangalore owes a debt of gratitude to institution builders like Professor M.R. Rao.
Prof. Sourav Mukherji, Dean of Alumni Relations & Development at IIMB, marathon runner and sports and fitness enthusiast, addressed the IIMB community on Health & Fitness, focusing on nutrition and exercise. The session, conducted on May 28th, was organised by the Human Resources Department of IIMB and supported by the IIMB Health Centre led by Dr Ravi Kumar.
