On 06th August 2025, IIMB honoured four of its Finance area faculty in recognition of their profound impact on generations of students. With the support of an endowment from PGP alum and Founder of Florintree, Mr Mathew Cyriac, the rooms have been named after (late) Prof. Prakash G. Apte, Prof. Prasanna Chandra, Prof. S. Sundararajan, and Prof. George Varughese.
Mr. Sanjiv Mehta, Executive Chairman, L Catterton India and former CEO & Chairman, HUL, inaugurated the office of the Tony James Centre for Private Equity and Venture Capital at IIMB, on 06th August 2025. This is India’s first Centre of Excellence for PE and VC.

On 11th August 2025, IIM Bangalore, through the IIMBx Digital Learning Foundation, announced the launch of a FinTech Certificate Programme, supported by the Government of Karnataka. Admissions to the online programme are now open.
Mr. Atul Abhyankar, MD, Accenture, delivered a guest session on ‘Build your careers with clear communication and critical thinking in the age of AI’, as part of the Term 1 core course, ‘Advances in Business Communication’, for the PGP 2025-27 cohort. The session, hosted on 12th August 2025, was moderated by Dr. Deepti Ganapathy from the Management Communication area at IIMB.
