Pathways for a sustainable, circular agricultural ecosystem in India: A roundtable

The ‘𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲’ roundtable, led by NSRCEL and Pernod Ricard India Foundation, brought together diverse stakeholders to identify pathways for a more sustainable and circular agricultural ecosystem in India.

The discussion highlighted that agricultural residues hold immense untapped potential when seen not as by-products but as valuable resources. Participants discussed the need to strengthen collection and logistics systems, adopt scalable technologies, and create new opportunities in biorefineries, biochar and decentralized energy.

This roundtable represents an important step in identifying actionable pathways for a more circular and resilient agricultural system. A detailed insight note from the session will capture the outcomes and ideas for ecosystem stakeholders.
