CSITM at IIM Bangalore launches ‘Tech & Us’ with book talk

The Centre for Software and IT Management (CSITM) at IIM Bangalore announces the launch of a webinar series called “Tech & Us”. The first of this online book talk series will have Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois, discuss his book, ‘Reluctant Technophiles: India’s Complicated Relationship with Technology’, at 4 pm (IST) on February 10th.
‘Reluctant Technophiles (one of GQs “best Indian non-fiction books of 2021”) uses examples, anecdotes, and data to offer an account of India’s complicated relationship with technology. During his talk, Prof. Rakesh Kumar will discuss key themes of the book, make observations about attitudes towards technology, identify a few technology-related challenges, and suggest some focus areas.
