PhD student Shiril Saju wins prestigious ‘2024 POMS Emerging Economies Doctoral Student Award Honorable Mention for the Asia-Pacific Region’
Shiril Saju, student of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme of IIM Bangalore, Production and Operations Management area, has won the prestigious ‘2024 POMS Emerging Economies Doctoral Student Award Honorable Mention for the Asia-Pacific Region’.
Shiril’s research interest involves government interventions for socially beneficial technology adoption. His current dissertation research with Dr. Nishant Kumar Verma, faculty of the Production and Operations Management area of IIM Bangalore, evaluates the efficiency of an ecosystem facilitating technology adoption in the agriculture sector in emerging economies. He is also working on other projects that contribute to social and environmental sustainability. His research has been presented or accepted for presentation at reputed international conferences. He was one of the Track Chairs for the 8th Biennial Supply Chain Management Conference held at IIMB. He is also an elected representative of PhD students at IIMB.
