Teaching Tips on Tap
This is a new initiative from the Centre for Teaching and Learning. The Centre is building a database of short videos that explain and explore various important aspects of effective teaching. The videos are available in the public domain for benefiting the teaching community everywhere. CTL’s Teaching Tips on Tap page features the following videos as of now.
- Challenges in Teaching: In this short video, Dr. Sourav Mukherji talks about the challenges educators face when teaching. He focuses on two factors – demand side (student perspective) and supply side (teacher perspective).
- Teacher-centric Education vs. Student-centric Education: Content is no longer the king and educators should redefine their roles. In this video, Dr. Sourav Mukherji stresses on the importance of learner-centric education.
- Engaging Students in the Classroom: In this brief video, Dr. Rahul De’ brings his 30 years of teaching experience and suggests 4 ways of successfully engaging different types of students in various kinds of institutions.
