Puranjay Singhal, Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) 2021-2023, Gold Medallist – Second Rank Holder

Puranjay, aged 27 years, hails from Delhi and belongs to a business family. His father operates a trading business in the auto sector and his mother is a homemaker. Puranjay’s elder sister is a Technology Consultant. Puranjay is a graduate in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), New Delhi, and has worked with JP Morgan, and Rothschild & Co.

Puranjay has secured a CGPA of 3.94/4.00 over the course of the programme and attained grade A in all the 27 courses he pursued at IIMB. He has been placed among the top students in the Director’s Merit List. He was one of the two students selected to attend the exchange term at HEC Paris. He excelled academically there as well, securing a GPA of 3.72/4.00. Puranjay also participated in several global and national business and case competitions. He won B-Starters, IIM Bangalore’s national-level entrepreneurship competition and was among the national finalists of Reliance TUP competition for his venture plan in the working capital financing space. He was an active member of the club Investment Fund.

Puranjay was the recipient of several scholarships and awards for his academic performance at IIM Bangalore. He was awarded the Mold-Tek Scholarship for being among the top three students in the Director’s Merit List after the first year. He received the IIMB Merit Scholarship for securing a place among the top 20 students in the first year. He was also a recipient of the Charpak Exchange Scholarship of Excellence from the French Embassy for pursuing an exchange term in France. 

Puranjay has a keen interest in business models and companies, and the economic value creation process. Hence, he wants to further his career in the Strategy and Finance domain, which, he believes, would provide him with ample opportunities to work with diverse businesses.
