Unlocking the next stage of growth for India’s energy storage solutions: A discussion at NSRCEL
As India’s energy transition moves toward scale, the conversation around long-duration energy storage is shifting from technology validation to deployment pathways, market adoption and ecosystem readiness. NSRCEL, in partnership with TDK Ventures and Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd, Government of Karnataka, convened founders, investors, corporate enterprises, OEMs, utilities and policymakers for a focused discussion on what it will take to move storage solutions beyond pilots in India.
The discussion explored what founders need to unlock for the next stage of growth: stronger commercialization proof points, clearer offtake pathways, blended financing mechanisms, utility and OEM partnerships, smart grid readiness, and policy support that enables adoption at scale.
A key takeaway from the session was that the challenge no longer involves just technology readiness, but it was also about building the right ecosystem alignment to enable deployment and market confidence. The discussion provided new information and insights in a bid to shape India’s next wave of climate and energy innovation.
