IIMB concludes Emerging Leaders Programme for Coromandel International Limited

Leadership is not developed in a single classroom session – it is built over time, through learning, reflection and real-world application. The recently concluded Emerging Leaders Programme offered by IIMB for Coromandel International Limited, Murugappa Group, was designed as a 12-month leadership journey that enabled participants to strengthen business acumen, while preparing for greater leadership responsibilities. The programme was designed by Dr. Vasanthi Srinivasan and Dr. Deepak Chandrashekar.

Through MOOCs, participants built a strong foundation across key business functions, while faculty-led sessions helped translate concepts into practical decision-making. Action Learning Projects (ALPs) challenged participants to work on real organizational opportunities, applying their learning to develop business-focused solutions with guidance from faculty and business mentors.

A defining aspect of the programme was its Experiential Learning through Human Process Labs (HPLs). Through guided reflection sessions, participants explored their leadership identity, understood how to engage with people and systems, strengthened emotional intelligence, and developed the self-awareness needed to lead teams with greater purpose, empathy and impact.
