EEP concludes 6th edition of Independent Directors Certificate Programme
Executive Education Programmes at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore held the valedictory for the participants of the sixth edition of the Independent Directors Certificate Programme (IDCP) on 20th June 2026, marking the successful completion of a learning journey focused on corporate governance, board effectiveness and responsible leadership.
Designed for senior leaders, board members and aspiring Independent Directors, the programme equips participants with the knowledge and perspectives required to navigate an increasingly complex governance ecosystem. Led by Programme Directors Prof. S Raghunath and Dr. Anil B Suraj, Chairperson, N.S. Ramaswamy Pre-doctoral Fellowship and the Committee on Diversity & Inclusion and faculty of the Public Policy area, IIMB, the programme explores themes such as corporate governance, board dynamics, risk oversight, ethics and strategic decision-making through a blend of academic insights and practical boardroom perspectives.
The valedictory session highlighted the growing importance of effective governance and the role of independent directors in exercising sound judgement, integrity and leadership in the boardroom. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants joined the IIM Bangalore Executive Education alumni network, becoming part of a growing community of leaders committed to advancing governance standards and creating long-term organizational value.
