Valedictory of Airbus India Women Leaders Programme held on 1st April
A cohort of 21 high-potential women leaders from Airbus India participated in a specially designed leadership programme aimed at nurturing the next generation of women leaders in the aerospace industry, conducted by Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). The valediction was held on 1st April 2025.
Curated and delivered by Programme Directors Dr. Debolina Dutta, faculty of the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area, and Dr. Padmini Srinivasan, Chairperson, Executive Education Programmes and the Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability, and faculty of the Finance & Accounting area, the ‘She-Leads’ programme is a multi-module, immersive experience spread over five months. The programme had a pre-launch event in the company premises in the presence of Suraj Chettri, Vice President and Head of Human Resources, and Jocelyn Gauda, Functional Head –Engineering.
With focus areas ranging from leadership development and executive presence to financial acumen and strategic thinking, the programme blends theory with hands-on application through interactive sessions, case studies and an Action Learning Project.
Participants from diverse functions across Digital & IT divisions engaged deeply with themes such as personal branding, emotional intelligence, stakeholder management and innovation. The programme also addressed organizational challenges in enhancing gender representation at leadership levels – currently at just 10% – aligning with Airbus’s strategic goal of increasing women leaders to 40% over the next two years.
Lucie Baillif, Head of Employee Development, Airbus India & South Asia, thanked and congratulated participants on the successful completion of the programme, during the valediction.
