Target Partners with IIM Bangalore to accelerate Enterprise AI Leadership
As Generative AI and Agentic AI rapidly reshape how enterprises innovate, operate and create value, Target partners with IIM Bangalore to build the leadership capabilities needed to navigate this transformation with strategic confidence.
Launched on 21st July 2026, the Executive Education Programme brought together Directors and Senior Directors from Target’s Data Analytics & Insights, Product and Data Engineering functions across India and the United States for an immersive classroom experience at the IIMB campus.
The programme was designed to move beyond AI awareness towards enterprise readiness. Participants explored the architecture of modern AI systems – including LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning and AI agents – while examining the complete lifecycle of enterprise AI applications, from ideation and design to deployment, evaluation and continuous improvement.
Programme Directors Dr. U. Dinesh Kumar, Director-in-charge, IIM Bangalore and Prof. Naveen Bhansali addressed the critical questions leaders face when taking AI to scale: technology choices, implementation approaches, governance, responsible AI and organizational capability building. IIMB’s research-backed frameworks and accomplished faculty provided a rigorous lens for evaluating AI opportunities through a business and enterprise context.
Through this partnership, Target and IIMB are enabling leaders to turn rapidly evolving AI capabilities into responsible, scalable and business-relevant innovation – strengthening the organization’s readiness for the next wave of enterprise transformation.
